The Broncho Education and Learning Lab (BELL) hires caring undergraduate and graduate students who have excelled in their academic coursework and who are committed to helping their fellow students learn. The two types of Learning Facilitator positions hired are for individual-based or group-based learning support. BELL opportunities exist in peer tutoring (LF-PT) and supplemental instruction (LF-SI). If you have an interest or general questions about working in the BELL as a Learning Facilitator, please review the criteria below and email the BELL.

Learning Facilitator - Peer Tutor (LF-PT)

Peer Tutor Learning Facilitators provide client learning sessions to fellow students in a number of subject areas, such as Math, Statistics, English, Grammar, and Science. A cumulative GPA of a 3.4 and an earned ‘A’ in the subject matter area are required for any students interested in working as a Peer Tutor Learning Facilitator. For more information or to express an interest in working as a PT-LF, please contact Dave Ramirez, BELL Coordinator.

Learning Facilitator - Supplemental Instruction (LF-SI)

SI Leaders are chosen by the professor for historically difficult courses at UCO. A cumulative GPA of a 3.4 and an earned ‘A’ in the course a student is being requested to SI in are required to be considered for a Supplemental Instruction Learning Facilitator position. If any of your professors are interested in hiring you as an SI, they should discuss it with you, submit a Faculty Request Form, and have you apply online.
