University College

Launched in 2020, in alignment with UCO’s Higher Learning Commission Quality Initiative (UCO QI), the University College at the University of Central Oklahoma is the new home for unique and distinctive transformative learning experiences in undergraduate education.
Dubbed, “UCOL,” the University College exists within Academic Affairs and works across disciplines to support student success and retention. Closely aligned with the Center for Excellence in Transformative Teaching and Learning, UCOL embeds opportunities for transformative learning through the integration of UCO’s institutional learning outcomes (ILOs), which include career readiness and Student Transformative Learning Record (STLR.)

Broncho Blueprint is UCO’s first-year experience that provides incoming freshmen early access to a faculty mentor, early exposure to a discipline of interest and early engagement with like-minded peers.
