Service Catalog
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has the responsibility to provide information technology services that directly support and advance the mission, vision, and goals of the University of Central Oklahoma. The OIT division serves as stewards of UCO information technology assets and resources based on a foundation of fiscal responsibility, business intelligence, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Services Delivered
Enterprise services and solutions provided by OIT are considered standard services to the university community. Categories of these enterprise services are:
Academic Technologies
Delivering instructional technology, tools, and resources directly supporting teaching and learning. Includes learning management systems, in-class and online course development, learning analytics, course evaluation, lecture capture, and other academic tools for faculty and students.
Administrative and Business Systems
Maintaining and supporting many of the systems that are the backbone of UCO's information network: Banner, custom-built applications, survey software, enterprise content management, informational data and more.
Classrooms & Computer Labs
Information Technology provides an open-use, extended hour computer lab as well as a collaboration lab and a mini-mac lab. Upgrades and new software packages are updated and deployed on a regular basis. The colleges also maintain computer labs for student use.
Data Storage and Servers
Delivering enterprise-level hardware, software, systems, and network infrastructure that provide underlying support for institutional activities. Includes data centers, central storage and system backup solutions, server virtualization, and systems management and operations.
Devices, Software & Printers
Providing assistance with your personal and departmental computing needs. Services include printing services, university-software and hardware support as well software packages – such as FREE antivirus – for your personal/home computers.
Help & Training
Delivering general support to all for IT issues through email, phone, and online knowledgebase is available. Also offered is a mix of technology training opportunities and assistance with developing of customized training.
Multimedia Services
Providing technology equipment, assistance and check out, support for campus digital signage, as well as event and conference support or meeting set up.
Passwords & Accounts Access
Managing UCO and Guest accounts allows university access to UCO systems and services through a single UCO username and password. Password resets, guest wifi access, access to new services, new employees or employee transfers are managed across the university.
Phones, Email and Communication Tools
Managing university phones, email and video conferencing services across the university. Other enterprise communications services also include support for email blasts, assistance with phishing attempts or attacks and conference calling.
Requests for New Technology
Helping to manage and organize the broadband category of technology across the enterprise into projects and purchases at the university. New hardware or software needs may be the more common but many are managed through a project to ensure we focus on the needs of the university. The Central Tech Store also support technology purchases at a personal or university/departmental level.
UCONNECT Portal
Delivering the University of Central Oklahoma News and Networking Educational Communication Tool, a secure web site providing UCO student, faculty and administrative staff with up-to-the minute campus communications, single login connections to check grades, check schedules, add or drop classes, pay tuition on-line, and access on-line course information.
Web & UCO Mobile Apps
Offering a web content management system (WCMS) to facilitate a more consistently branded online university experience in partnership with our blogs, wikis and mobile apps supported by many custom developed applications.
WiFi, Internet & Network Connectivity
Working attentively to support, monitor, and optimize network performance while maximizing network security and availability. This includes the university offering of high-speed Internet access to our students, faculty, staff, and guests. Information Technology also supports the addition of network drops across campus and VPN access when you are not on campus.
