UCO COVID-19 protocols remain in place for the spring 2021 semester. Masks are required on campus when around others. Students, faculty and staff directly exposed to or test positive for COVID-19 should fill out UCO's COVID-19 Self-Reporting form. To learn more about current operations, view the university's coronavirus webpage. View a list of UCO's virtual services.
Adjusted Hours for Testing Services
UCO Testing Services resumed on-campus testing June 3, by appointment only. To comply with UCO COVID-19 policies, there will be limited seating and additional safety protocols for examinations. During the month of June, UCO Testing Services will only administer Computerized Placement Tests (CPTs) and Funeral Board exams. Beginning in July, our office will resume all other examinations except for Proctored Exams (classroom exams).
If students needing CPTs are unable to come to campus, remote proctoring is available. Remote proctoring is available through third-party service providers: Reading and Writing (ACCUPLACER) tests can be taken through Examity, and Math (ALEKS) tests can be taken through ProctorU.
Please note that both providers charge a fee for their service. To schedule a CPT through remote proctoring, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your:
- First name
- Last name
- UCO Student ID number
- State that you are requesting remote proctoring
Welcome to Testing Services
Testing Services is committed to providing exceptional, accessible and comprehensive testing for the University of Central Oklahoma. All tests are administered under standardized conditions that are efficient, fair, and secure. Our testing center maintains and adheres to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines. In addition, we are dedicated to providing alternatives to on-campus course work that will assist students with their educational goals.
Hours of Operation
Our office is open at 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, appointments are only available between 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We are closed on weekends and any day the university campus is closed.
As a rule, a minimum of 24 hours is required for the scheduling of most tests. For proctored exams, a minimum of 72 hours notice is required.
During peak times (e.g. midterms, finals, enrollment) availability may be limited and require additional notice. While every effort is made to accommodate testers, scheduling is always subject to staffing and capacity constraints.
Testing Services at the University of Central Oklahoma offers convenient, fast and secure online registration for the exams listed. Click on the "Register" button to register online with a credit or debit card. All online registrations are final and no refunds will be given. Online registrations are not transferable.
The receipt you receive by email will have the reporting location for the test (check your SPAM email box if you don't receive the receipt). If you have any questions about the test location, please contact us at least one day before the exam.
The University of Central Oklahoma complies with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act of 1990. Students with disabilities who need testing accommodations must make their request by contacting Disability Support Services (DSS) at 405-974-2516.
