Students are charged fees and tuition based upon the number of credit hours awarded for each course, the course level and resident status. Other special instruction fees may be assessed for some courses.

Books and miscellaneous charges are calculated based on the average expenses and it would vary from student to student depending on their spending habits, as well as courses enrolled.

All first-time entering students (degree-seeking students) must provide a tuition deposit of $9,000 to UCO upon arrival and prior to enrollment as listed in the Statement of Understanding.

Housing and Dining 

On-Campus Housing Requirements (35% Housing Discount)

The University of Central Oklahoma provides a comprehensive, comfortable and safe environment for students to live in. There are a few housing and dining options for you to choose from. 

All international students under the age of 21 are required to live in UCO's campus housing for the first year only. Students who live on campus traditionally earn higher GPAs and graduate at higher rates.

International Student Housing Discount

The good news is, all international students who live in the Quad - International House or West Hall dormitory will receive a 35% discounted housing rate, which can make it more affordable.

UCO's dormitories are led by trained staff members and are equipped with the latest safety technology to ensure a secure environment, providing peace of mind for both students and parents. Conveniently located in the heart of campus, residents are closer to campus activities, classes and diverse food offerings. All campus housing is fully furnished and air-conditioned, with all utility bills paid.

If you fulfill one of the criteria below, you will be eligible to live in any off-campus housing of your choice:

  1. 21 years or older;
  2. Transferring 24 or more credit hours from an US institution in Oklahoma;
  3. Married and living with a spouse;
  4. Dependent child living with you; or, 
  5. Living with an approved relative (parent/legal guardian, grandparent, aunt or uncle) within the greater Oklahoma City Metro area.

Off-Campus Housing

There are a great number of off-campus housing options available for international students within walking distance from UCO. Many of these apartments will lease an apartment to you, requiring either a six-month or one-year contract, as well as possibly requiring a deposit and application fee.
