Office of Diversity and Inclusion

What does the Office of Diversity and Inclusion do?

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion advances cultural competence while implementing opportunities for our diverse communities to learn, thrive and succeed.

Each day we’re working with students, staff and faculty to meet this mission by implementing unique programs and offering a menu of services that are all designed to promote academic success, encourage student retention, and promote the leadership development of UCO students.

Our Mission

At the ODI, we believe that if we use our mission as a guide, we can offer everyone on the UCO campus an experience that can help them widen their vision, expand their understanding of the world and enrich their lives.

Our Goal

Our prime goal is stated in our mission, to create opportunities for everyone on campus to learn, thrive and succeed. We don’t believe that these are three separate targets, however, because each one informs the other. Development in one’s ability to learn, or thrive or succeed always informs the other two.
