The University of Central Oklahoma experienced a period of rapid growth during the 1960s that was felt all across campus, including in the numbers of students seeking to live on campus. West Hall was opened in 1962 in response to this demand and still stands as a model of community engagement to the campus community. West Hall students are traditionally the most involved residents and have the highest reported GPA of all five residence halls.
Due to its record as the building with the highest GPA, West Hall is also home to a segment of the Living Learning Communities program. The Education Community and the Leadership Community make use of the collaborative nature of the hall in their bid to grow the leaders and educators of tomorrow.
With a prime location in the center of campus right next to the main dining hall, the library, and classrooms, West Hall is an excellent choice for the student seeking engagement and in every aspect of their college experience.
