Student Support Services

Student Support Services is a federal TRIO program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The mission of the program is to provide FREE college retention and completion services to students who are first-generation, low-income, or who have a registered disability.

STRIVE 

STRIVE is a project that serves students in all majors. Participants receive assistance with graduate school preparation, tutoring, financial aid assistance, FAFSA completion, financial literacy, career exploration and course selection.

SYNERGY 

SYNERGY is a research focused project that serves students in STEM, Health Science and Forensic Science majors. Participants receive assistance with involvement in research & grants, industry & research tours, graduate school preparation, tutoring, financial aid assistance, FAFSA completion, financial literacy, career exploration and course selection.

SALUTE

Serving America’s Leaders Using Transformative Education.

SALUTE is a project that serves veterans in all majors. Participants receive assistance with transitioning from military to college life, graduate school preparation, tutoring, financial aid assistance, FAFSA completion, financial literacy, career exploration and course selection.

TEACH

Transforming Education, Achieving Community Hope.

TEACH is a project that serves students who are Education majors. Participants receive assistance with: Certification test preparation, career specific workshops, graduate school preparation, tutoring, financial aid assistance, FAFSA completion, financial literacy, career exploration and course selection.

TEAM

Transformative Education Achieves More.

TEAM is a project that serves students with disabilities, including Anxiety and/or Depression, ADD/ADHD, Physical Disabilities and High School IEP's. List of services we provide for academic support tutoring, mentoring, scholarship opportunities, financial literacy and graduate school preparation.

LA META

Latino Americans Motivating, Educating and Transforming America.

LA META is a project serving students who come from predominantly non-English speaking households. Participants receive assistance with vocabulary building, presentation skills, graduate school preparation, tutoring, financial aid assistance, FAFSA completion, financial literacy and course selection.

Join SSSLO

Student Support Services Leadership Organization (SSSLO) is a collection of students who are a part of SSS and strive to serve our community through volunteer services.  You'll serve the community by volunteering opportunities such as the Oklahoma City Hugs Project, the Hope Center of Edmond, the UCO President's Christmas party and the Edmond Senior Center.
