Important Update:

UCO has temporarily shifted most in-person classes to synchronous virtual delivery through Feb. 7. Campus facilities and services will remain open and offer in-person and virtual options. COVID-19 protocols remain in place. Masks are required on campus when around others. Students, faculty and staff who are directly exposed to or test positive for COVID-19 should fill out UCO's COVID-19 Self-Reporting form. To learn more about current operations, view the university's coronavirus webpage.

How to Engage Counseling Services During COVID-19

Our virtual walk-in hours will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily by completing online request for appointment with any staff member for counseling or case management. We will be striving to help with same-day access for walk in appointments.

You also may call our main line at 405-974-2215 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. for questions or additional information. You may need to leave a message; we will return your call in 24 hours.

Virtual Walk-in Counseling

We use what is commonly called a Stepped Care model in helping determine what might be helpful you in meeting your goals for counseling and wellness. Once you complete a request for an appointment, one of our clinicians will call you to begin a conversation about what you are experiencing and what might be helpful in solving your challenges. The clinician will explore with you a wide range of options. Stepped care means that we want to customize a program that is specific to you. We start with the most effective and least intensive options (maybe recommending a group or recommending some of our Therapy Assisted Online (TAO) modules). For some students, the clinician may determine that starting with therapy is not the best first step. Please know that no matter what the recommended steps, we can move up or down the steps with you so that you can achieve the goals you set for yourself.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9-11:30  a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 1-3:30 p.m.
