Broncho Bites
What is Broncho Bites?
Broncho Bites is an on-campus initiative to help reduce food waste and provide meals to the University of Central Oklahoma campus community.
Through this program, food leftover from Ayers Kitchen and Central Station is put in compostable packaging and rerouted to the Broncho Bites refrigerator, located outside the Central Pantry, Nigh University Center, Room 151. This food is available to all UCO students, faculty and staff to take on the go to divert it away from the landfill. This reduces food waste on our campus!
Broncho Bites is a collaborative project between the UCO Sustainability Center, Office of Community Engagement, Central Station and Chartwells. It is supported by a grant from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality to UCO for the 2022-24 academic years. This project also includes campus composting efforts.
