Nobody perfectly embodies the UCO spirit like Buddy Broncho.
Buddy travels alongside the cheer and pom teams from sporting events to nationwide cheer championships.
Buddy even receives a scholarship!
If you think that you’ve got the right combination of spirit, athleticism and a talent for horsing around, we encourage you to try out for Buddy Broncho!
Tryouts for the 2020-21 Mascots will be in August 2020. More information will be available in summer 2020.
Whether it’s cheering on the team or taking high marks in their own competitions, UCO Cheer carries on a long tradition of school spirit and a commitment to being the best.
Our co-ed squad has brought home 10 national championships in the last 11 years. We maintain the highest standards for spirit and performance, and each game squad member is expected to audition for our competition team.

When it comes to spirit, nobody tops the CREW!
This co-ed group has 8-10 members that keep the crowd pumped up during both football and basketball games. When you see the UCO flags running the field before each football game and at every touchdown, you’re cheering along with the CREW.
Tryouts for the 2020-21 CREW will be held in August 2020. More information will be available in summer 2020.
If you think you’ve got the spirit, we invite you to join our team!
The UCO Pom Team brings national-level performance and competitive drive to every event as they perform as a gamed squad and a national championship team. Our 2019 squad, coached by Lil Doescher Watson, took the gameday championship at the 2019 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and Universal Dance Association (UDA) College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships.
