Thanksgiving Break, NOV. 23-25: Classes Canceled, Offices Closed.:

The Max Chambers Library will be open 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Nov. 22., 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 23 and will be closed Nov. 24-26. The Wellness Center will be closed Nov. 23-27 and will resume normal hours Nov. 28.

Eligibility

  • *Incoming freshmen with minimum 3.0 GPA, 20 ACT, active involvement in two or more student organizations, demonstrated community service efforts. Applications are due Feb. 1, 2022.
  • *Continuing students with minimum 3.0 GPA, active involvement in two or more student organizations, demonstrated community service efforts. Applications are due March 1, 2022.
  • *Transfer students with minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrated community service efforts.  Applications are due March 1, 2022.

Servant Leadership        

Programming

Students are required to be involved in at least one student organization and participate in various group service projects throughout the course of the year. Students also submit a leadership reflection paper each semester. Attendance at monthly council meetings is required in addition to the LOT banquet and summer retreat. Academic courses related to leadership are also required for students who enter the program as a freshman. Optional events include class gatherings, LOT President's Christmas Party, Winter Retreat, Homecoming activities, etc.

Incentives

  • ** Nine-hour tuition waiver per semester
  • Yearly $1,250.00 housing stipend contract for Murduagh, West Hall, The Quad, or Suites with active participation in a housing activity/organization.
  • **A one-time stipend for a study abroad, study tour, or alternative fall break experience is also awarded: $500.00-$1,000.00.

*Meeting of minimum requirements does not grant automatic admittance into the scholarship program. All leadership scholarships require an interview. Students will be notified via email if selected for an interview.

**Incentives are dependent upon class and applicant. The scholarships can be renewable for up to four years for incoming freshmen, up to three years for continuing and two years for transfer. All are contingent upon review.

***Requirements are different for each scholarship council and are outlined specifically in the scholarship contract.
