Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Central Oklahoma began more than 50 years ago and remains a strong presence on the campus. Our Greek community boasts a legacy of committed members who have contributed to the continued growth, and success of the Greek system.

Being Greek opens doors to academic initiatives, campus involvement, leadership opportunities, philanthropic service, personal enrichment and a connection that lasts a lifetime.

With more than 20 amazing Greek organizations, there is an opportunity for everyone. Each organization handles recruitment differently. For the most up-to-date information, check the links below. 

 

Interfraternity Council (IFC) Recruitment 

Informal Recruitment will take place throughout the year, especially May through August.  

Any student interested in joining an IFC fraternity is encouraged to complete the IFC Interest Form. Your information will then be diseeminated to our chapters. Interested students are also encouraged to follow IFC on social media: @ucoifc.

Chapters are permitted to recruit and admit new members on a continuous basis following their organization's policies and procedures.

Panhellenic Council (NPC) Recruitment

To join, students must register to participate in Fall Formal Recruitment and is typically held each year in August.  

Formal Recruitment takes place over several days and is a mutual selection process. During the course of recruitment, potential new members meet chapter representatives from all of the Panhellenic organizations.

National Pan-Hellenic Chapters (NPHC) Recruitment 

The recruitment process for NPHC is referred to as the Membership Intake Process. It's important to note that the membership intake process takes place at various times for each individual organization within NPHC. 

Any student interested in joining a chapter or learning more about an organization is encouraged to submit an NPHC Interest Form. Your interest will be discretely shared with the organization(s) you select.

Multicultural Organization Recruitment 

The recruitment process for multicultural organizations is referred to as the Membership Intake Process. It's important to note that the membership intake process takes place at various times for each individual organization within our multicultural organizations. 

Any student interested in joining a multicultural organization or learning more about an organization is encouraged to submit an MGC Interest Form. Your interest will be discretely shared with the organization(s) you select.

Independent Organizations Recruitment

UCO is home to some national sororities that do not belong to a governing council.  These organizations typically focus their efforts on religious or service endeavors and operate much like their traditional counterparts.

Any student interested in joining an independent organization or learning more about an organization is encouraged to submit an Independent Organization Interest Form. Your interest will be discretely shared with the organization(s) you select.
