Micro-credential Overview
The coaching and mentoring micro-credential verifies the course participant has the basic helping skills and theories of coaching and mentoring adults in corporate, nonprofit and educational settings, including listening skills and feedback; relationship building; career and self-assessment processes; ethical and legal issues connected to the helping relationship; self-care when engaged in helping relationships; and, types of coaching – leadership, life planning, professional development, health and wellness, performance, etc.

- Synthesize your skills, knowledge and values of coaching and mentoring.
- Set workable goals with clients.
- Describe various types and approaches to coaching and mentoring.

- Develop an authentic process of coaching/mentoring that works for you.

- UCO graduate students enrolled in the ADED 5323 coaching/mentoring the adult learner academic course.

- Hybrid.

- Fall and spring semesters.
How do you register for this micro-credential?
- Those interested in this micro-credential must be enrolled as a student in UCO’s ADED 5323 coaching/mentoring the adult learner academic course. Registration for this micro-credential is included in the course enrollment.
What Does it Cost?
- The micro-credential fee is included in the price of the course tuition and fees

What is a micro-credential?
Micro-credentials provide new opportunities to demonstrate specific knowledge, skills and abilities in ways that create a more complete picture of your capabilities. Upon successful completion and verification of the micro-credential requirements, you will be issued a digital badge that can be displayed and verified online, such as on resumes or professional social media profiles. Digital micro-credentials can provide another way to demonstrate your achievement of competencies and allows you to clearly communicate your capabilities to others.
