Master of Arts in Strategic Communications - Leadership in Communications (Online)
UCO’s Master of Arts in strategic communications – leadership in communications emphasizes the strong leadership skills necessary for career advancement in the ever-growing communications industry. Students will benefit from faculty with professional industry experience. Curriculum will focus on learning to read, conduct, understand and communicate research to support organizational goals. Students graduate equipped to address issues surrounding change, organizational culture, ethics and technology in the fast-paced and dynamic communications industry. Students can finish the program in as little as two years, for as low as $16,500.
Requirements for Admission
- A completed application for graduate admission.
- Official copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts from each institution attended with all degrees posted. All transcripts must be from accredited institutions.
- Resume or CV.
- A 500-word personal statement expressing the applicant’s interest in the program, goals and objectives, and any additional information the applicant believes would be helpful for admission decisions.
- A student may be admitted by one of the three following methods:
- A minimum 2.75 GPA overall or 3.00 GPA in the last 60 hours attempted;
- Minimum GRE score of 300; or,
- Possess a master’s degree from an accredited university/ college with an overall GPA of 3.00.

The online Master of Arts in strategic communications – leadership in communications takes 36 hours to complete. You'll dedicate 24-27 credit hours to required core courses and nine-12 credit hours in guided electives.
