Master of Music in Performance
The Master of Music in Performance program will help prepare students in the field of music performance develop a higher level of proficiency on their instrument or as a singer in a variety of contexts culminating in a recital and/or special performance. Students may choose from one of four Performance areas: Instrumental, Piano, Vocal, or Multiple Woodwinds.
The Performance major also allows students to pursue areas of special and related interest through elective studies. The University of Central Oklahoma is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music {NASM}.
Courses You'll Take
The School of Music provides a variety of majors to create a flexible and diverse curriculum that addresses the needs of students in the 21st century. The Master of Music degree offers major areas of emphasis in composition, collaborative piano, conducting, instrumental performance (woodwind, brass, string and percussion), musical theatre, music education, piano pedagogy, piano performance, vocal pedagogy, and vocal performance.
