Master of Music in Pedagogy
The Pedagogy major will help prepare students in the field of music pedagogy develop a higher level of proficiency in performing and teaching music in a variety of contexts, offering a well-rounded blend of courses in instrument-specific pedagogy as well as supportive studies. Students may choose from one of two Pedagogy areas: Vocal or Piano.
This major also allows individuals to pursue areas of special and related interest through elective studies. The University of Central Oklahoma is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music NASM.
Courses You'll Take
The Pedagogy curriculum includes courses focused on music research, theory, musicology, pedagogy, technology, and concludes with a graduate project or recital.
