The Professional Media program prepares students to discuss the role of professional communication media in a free society and in an interconnected world; produce industry-quality content for diverse and converged media platforms; evaluate the ethical standards and practices of media professionals; and address local, national, and global issues through participation in UCentral Student Media
The Professional Media program combines video, print, journalism, broadcast, radio, producing, writing and editing to offer a comprehensive education to prepare for careers in media.
The Department of Mass Communication has various student and professional organizations that both support and help Professional Media majors develop skills to advance their learning.
