The Modern Language Education program serves as a catalyst for German education and the creation of community events and activities to promote cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary understanding, communication and analysis.

Curriculum

The German program of the Department of Modern Languages offers general introductions to the German language and culture, as well as advanced study for the training of teachers, scholars and other professionals.

Admission to the Teacher Education Program

German Education majors must apply and be accepted to the Teacher Education Program in order to be eligible to take professional teacher education courses and to graduate with an education degree from UCO. Admission to the Teacher Education Program is separate from admission to the University of Central Oklahoma.
