The Greek philosopher Heraclitus is credited with saying “the only constant in life is change.” That’s even more true today than it was when he said it around 600 B.C. Experts say that the average worker today will change careers from three to seven times.

So how does one acquire the skills necessary to survive and thrive in an ever-changing world? The most important things, employers tell pollsters again and again, is to have employees who know how to think, apply logic, communicate and solve problems.

The Applied Liberal Arts program is a unique, interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts degree which brings together a solid grounding in the Liberal Arts, select courses specifically pertinent to the business world, and the ability complete a concentration in a wide-ranging selection of humanities, math, science, fine arts, and social sciences disciplines. This field of study offers students both academic rigor and the ability to combine theoretical understanding with “real-world” experiences and flexible areas of focus. An Applied Liberal Arts graduate will be prepared for a variety of career opportunities.
