String Performance majors at the University of Central Oklahoma have a multitude of opportunities to perform and collaborate with their peers as well as with professors.  Performance opportunities for string players include Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Pit Orchestras for Musicals, various String Quartets and Chamber Ensembles, and even Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensembles.  Performing in these groups provides string players with a variety of musical experiences that will greatly prepare them for the professional music world.  Private study with internationally recognized faculty gives students the knowledge they need to master their craft, as well as the inspiration to transform their abilities into a long and fruitful career as a professional performer and educator.
