Curriculum

UCO students in this degree program are uniquely prepared and certified to teach vocal music at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Faculty members are committed to providing challenging, hands-on, and inspirational studies in all areas of vocal/choral music, performance, and educational concepts. Features of the degree include an internship program with the Young Choirs of Central Oklahoma, individualized conducting experiences with campus choral ensembles, and student teaching with master teachers in the field. These transformative learning experiences prepare students for a successful and rewarding career as a vocal music educator.
