Program Overview

Earn an Associate’s or Minor in Contemporary Music Business.

This degree is rooted in entrepreneurship and provides graduates with a competitive edge when entering the music industry


The ACM@UCO’s purpose is to provide practical learning experiences that help our students survive and thrive in today’s music and entertainment industry. The academy’s cutting-edge Contemporary Music Business curriculum helps students develop a formal understanding of how the music industry works as well as the necessary skills to navigate it. Contemporary Music Business majors will take specialized courses in artist development, music industry marketing, record label operations, and music supervision. In addition to this traditional coursework, students will explore the important roles of artist managers, tour managers, entertainment lawyers and music producers.
