Cynthia Rolfe, Ph.D., Senior Vice President
Cynthia E. Rolfe, Ph.D., brings a unique perspective to the university in her role as Senior Vice President -- a viewpoint that supports Central's innovative learning community. She worked in management consulting and in technology prior to arriving at UCO. Having been employed in both private and public sector positions, Rolfe formerly led the university's technology strategy from a framework of efficiency and effectiveness. As senior vice president, Rolfe oversees the Executive Leadership Mentoring Program, Business Continuity and additional strategic initiatives.
Rolfe has served other universities as a tenured professor; director of academic technology; and assistant vice president for academic affairs, where she was responsible for the university library, radio and television stations, faculty development, instructional technology and distance education.
She has served on multiple civic and nonprofit boards. She was the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce who came from an academic institution. She served as President of the Edmond Fine Arts Institute, the SunGard Quality Assurance Council and the Edmond Economic Development Authority, to name a few. Currently, Dr. Rolfe sits on the boards of Creative Oklahoma, Inc., The Women’s Center, Oklahoma Women in Technology and the Coles Innovation Forum.
Rolfe enjoys a passion for lifelong learning, demonstrated by achieving four academic degrees and having completed multiple programs in personal coaching. She completed the Creative Problem Solving Institute facilitation program and brings that knowledge and skillset to UCO, both in her leadership-management style and by providing workshops and mentoring.
Rolfe has developed a model for balanced living known as Seven Wheels and is currently authoring a book, “Inspiring Women.”
