Our book clubs provide employees with an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while expanding their network. We choose thought-provoking, innovative books that challenge preconceived notions. Please email TalentDev@uco.edu to suggest a book or volunteer as a book club facilitator.
We are proud to offer consultation, assessment, design and implementation assistance to support the employee learning and development of UCO departments.
Leadership UCO (LUCO) is a leadership program for faculty and staff across campus to develop their professional and personal leadership qualities, increase their interpersonal skills and expand their network. This program focuses on five core content areas: Self-Development, Leadership Basics, Communication, Group Dynamics, and Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving.
The university’s learning management system serves as the central hub for employee instructor-led and online professional and personal development information, registration and tracking. Employees can also take online self- paced development courses at their leisure.
Our Learning Tracks program provides employees with self-paced, directed learning experiences in 11 key areas. We also provide a Design Your Own Learning Track option for employees who are looking for a custom training experience.
The Management Development Program (MDP) enhances skill sets and prepares supervisors for leadership success. We offer the program in a condensed format that maximizes participants’ learning and application.
We provide all new employees with the essential information, training, resources and opportunities to get connected to our community before reporting to work. Our onboarding processes and New Employee Orientation (NEO) provide vital information along with an engaging welcome to the UCO family.
The Young Professionals Faculty and Staff Association is a resource group to connect and support professionals in their careers. Members are able to network through professional development and community engagement opportunities.
