Surplus
The university surplus operation is the only method for the proper disposal of university-owned property. Items in good working condition can be sent to surplus with signed approval by the department org manager on the appropriate forms and picked up at a date and time coordinated with the surplus property coordinator.

Surplus items that fit the needs of university offices can be utilized free of charge. University employees may visit the Physical Plant to view the inventory of the surplus warehouse from 8:15–9:30 am or 1–2 pm, Monday through Friday, or at other times during business hours by appointment. To inquire about specific items or to make an appointment, email ucosurplus1@uco.edu or call 405-974-2247.
Surplus items cannot be given away, donated, or sold to individuals outside of the public auction process.
Public Auctions of Surplus Property
UCO property deemed obsolete or excess to the needs of a department or the university, and for which no utilization opportunity exists on campus, may be sold at auction. Most surplus property is transferred to the Oklahoma State Surplus where it is sold at public auction. UCO also conducts, at a minimum, quarterly auctions of its surplus items on Public Surplus or Purple Wave. Auctions of UCO surplus property are open to all faculty, staff, and students, with a share of the proceeds going to the originating department.
Items will be listed as they come available.
