In an effort to keep our fellow Bronchos healthy, please review the university's COVID-19 Response for resources, policies, procedure and other important updates if you are planning a visit to campus. Prospective Graduate Students
Graduate Admissions and Testing Score Update
The UCO Jackson College of Graduate Studies is encouraging all prospective students to apply for graduate study given the parameters shared in the existing Graduate Catalog and in the degree sheets associated with their respective graduate programs of interest.
The first step for all prospective graduate students interested in being admitted to the Graduate College is to apply for graduate study. Prospective students can reach out to their respective graduate admissions specialist for additional assistance or for sharing any unique circumstances related to their application.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY GRADUATE ADMISSIONS UPDATE
For those who require English Language Proficiency testing, ETS and IELTS have an at-home testing option available in all countries. For students impacted by COVID-19, please use an at-home testing option. International students can view information from IELTS and ETS directly from their respective websites. The Graduate College requires an IELTS overall band score of at least 6.5 and a TOEFL iBT overall score of at least 79.

Thesis Defense Scheduling Update
To enhance the safety of UCO graduate students and faculty,the Graduate College shifted to 100% virtual thesis defenses. Now that the university has resumed normal operations, thesis defenses are scheduled to be in person with some opportunities for virtual or hybrid thesis defenses using Zoom at the discretion of the thesis committee chair. The thesis committee chair will handle hosting and set up for any virtual or hybrid thesis defenses once graduate students schedule their thesis defense with the Graduate College.
the Graduate College has gone paperless
Once all other signatures have been secured, the forms can be emailed to email@example.com to obtain the Graduate College Dean’s signature. We will route the form to the appropriate campus office for further processing as needed.
