Scholarships
The Forensic Science Institute offers a limited number of scholarships, assistantships, and partial tuition waivers to forensic science students. Students may apply for scholarships during the spring semester of their first year for the funds to be applied the following school year. Please check each tuition waiver for application details. All applications are due Feb. 15.
Forensic Science Institute Endowed Scholarships
The FSI Endowed Scholarship is available to Oklahoma residents currently enrolled full time as an undergraduate or graduate student in the forensic science program. These awards are presented during the Spring Presidential Partner's Awards Banquet and are funded through the FSI faculty and private donors.
ARL/DNA Solutions Endowed Scholarship in Forensic Science
The ARL/DNA Solutions Endowed Scholarship is available to in-state, out-of-state and international students currently enrolled full time as graduate students in the Forensic Science-Biology/Chemistry master's program. This award is presented during the Spring Presidential Partner's Awards Banquet and was established by Dr. Tom Kupiec, CEO of Analytical Research Laboratories and DNA Solutions, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Leeds Forensic Systems, Inc., Scholarship in Forensic Science
The Leeds Forensic Systems, Inc., Scholarship is available to in-state, out-of-state and international students currently enrolled full time as graduate students or junior/senior undergraduate students in forensic science. Preference will be given to students focusing on a career in firearm and toolmark analysis with a 3.0 GPA or above.
Fred Jordan Scholarship
The Fred Jordan Scholarship is available to in-state, out-of-state and international students currently enrolled full time as an undergraduate or graduate student in the forensic science program. This award is presented during the Spring Presidential Partner’s Swards Banquet and was established by the former chief medical examiner for Oklahoma.
Julian and Irene Rothbaum Student Achievement Award
The Julian and Irene Rothbaum Student Achievement Award is available to in-state, out-of-state and international students currently enrolled full time as an undergraduate student in the forensic science program. This award is presented during the Spring Presidential Partner’s Awards Banquet and was established to recognize academically gifted students who make contributions to UCO and the community.
FSI Tuition Waivers for Out-of-State Undergraduate Students
Multiple awards for partial tuition waiver are available to out-of-state undergraduate students enrolled full time in the forensic science program. Awards are made in the fall semester for both the fall and spring semesters, subject to the availability of funds and continued successful progress by the student. APPLY HERE

Multiple awards for partial tuition waivers are available to Oklahoma residents enrolled in the forensic science master’s program. FSI Research and Teaching Assistantships for Graduate Students
A limited number of research assistantships are available through the Forensic Science Institute. Current graduate students are encouraged to discuss this possibility with a graduate adviser.
