Master of Arts in Gerontology
The Master of Arts in Gerontology is a specialized program where you will work with adults in a variety of environments. Gerontology is the physical, mental and sociological study of aging and the practical application of this knowledge to policies for older people.
Our Gerontology major provides a base of information and experiences, both in and out of the classroom, for managing the many aspects of aging. The program emphasis is on the "humanistic" approach, recognizing that aging is a developmental state. As a society, our demands are changing with both an undereducated workforce and an older population. Specialists are needed to ensure a quality of life for all.
