Sherman Chaddlesone Arts and Letters Lecture Series
About the Series
Established at the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996 by Kiowa painter Sherman Chaddlesone (1947-2013), the Chaddlesone Series is a program of readings and cultural events which allow the Central community opportunities to interact with iconic, established, and emerging American Indian artists. New entries in the series take place every year in October, on Indigenous Peoples Day.
Past speakers have included Arigon Starr, Carolyn Dunn, Steven Paul Judd, d.g. smalling, Joy Harjo, Neal Diamond, Joseph Erb, Jennifer Elise Foerster, Diane Glancy, and Tim Tingle.
