Central Community Music School

The Central Community Music School (CCMS) is open to students of all ages and all experience levels. We offer both private and group lessons.

Applied Private Lessons

Available in 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lessons in instrumental and vocal music.

Central Oklahoma Clarinet Choir

Central Oklahoma Clarinet Choir (COCC) is a community group of high school, amateur and professional clarinetists that meet weekly in pursuit of musical fulfillment and enjoyment. No audition is required. The enrollment fee is $60 per semester. COCC is instructed by Jenny Rucker, UCO adjunct clarinet instructor.

Group Piano for Adult Beginners - Recreational Music Making (RMM)

Recreational Music Making (RMM) is a stress-free, enjoyable approach to playing the piano that is not based on mastery of performance. Weekly one-hour classes are open to students ages 18 and up, with little or no experience required or expected. Fall and Spring semester enrollment: 12-week block is $300.  Summer semester enrollment: 8-week block is $200. RMM is instructed by UCO professor, Dr. Linda Owen.

Recreational Music Making Level II (RMM2)

Recreational Music Making Level II (RMM2) is a weekly one-hour class open to students ages 18 and up who have completed Recreational Music Making (RMM) and are ready to advance. Fall and Spring semester enrollment: 12-week block is $300. Summer semester enrollment: 8-week block is $200. RMM2 is instructed by UCO professor, Dr. Linda Owen.

Piano Pedagogy Program (PPP)

The Piano Pedagogy Program (PPP) is exclusively for 7-8 year olds with no previous music experience. Students meet for a weekly 50-minute group lesson and a weekly 30-minute private lesson. Please note that this is a one-year commitment

(Fall 2022 and Spring 2023).

Cello Ensemble

The Cello Ensemble meets every other Sunday to enjoy learning more about the cello together by playing music arranged only for our instrument. No stress and no concerts; rehearsals are relaxed while being focused on progress. Open to all students over the age of 14 who have been playing for at least one year. Fall and Spring enrollment; $100 per semester.
