Business Senior Exam (BSE)

The Business Senior Exam (BSE) is an assurance of learning requirement of the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting degree programs in the College of Business at the University of Central Oklahoma. The BSE is a comprehensive examination of important business concepts that a student is expected to have learned in the core degree courses. The College of Business uses the BSE to assess student learning and to make curriculum improvements.

All students enrolled in MGMT 4813 Strategic Management will take the BSE and performance on the exam contributes to the final course grade. Students will be tested over five out of 13 business core course subjects. The exam will be comprised of 90 questions to be completed in 120 minutes.

For the spring 2023 semester, students will be added to the BSE course shell in D2L by Monday, Jan. 30. They will be made aware via UCO D2L email of the subjects in which they will be tested by Wednesday, Feb. 1, including gaining access to the study guides to prepare for the exam. The BSE can be scheduled via the College of Business Testing Center or ProctorU, at no charge to the student, between Feb. 13-March 6.

Please email BSE coordinator, Dr. Mariya Burdina (mburdina@uco.edu), if you have any concerns or questions.
