Transfer Admission Standards
*Six attempted hours excludes developmental (pre-college) work.
*Concurrently-enrolled high school students are considered incoming freshmen.
Admission Requirements
You must have a 1.7 GPA and meet the Freshman Admission requirements if you have 7-23 credit hours. You must have a 1.7 GPA if you have 24-29 credit hours. You must have a 2.0 GPA if you have 30 or more credit hours. You must have 2.0 GPA if you are transferring from an out-of-state college, regardless of credit hours earned.
Credit Hours Earned Requirement
7-23 Credit Hours 1.7 GPA and meet Freshman Admission requirements
24-29 Credit Hours 1.7 GPA
30 or more Credit Hours 2.0 GPA

State Required Immunizations
Oklahoma Statutes, Title 70 section 3244, requires that all students who enroll as a full-time or part-time student in an Oklahoma public or private postsecondary institution must provide documentation of vaccinations for Hepatitis B and Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR). UCO requires three doses for Hepatitis B and two doses for MMR.
Immunization records reflecting the required MMR and Hepatitis B shots can be emailed to admissions@uco.edu or delivered to Broncho OneStop, NUC 124.
To submit the Certificate of Exemption, complete this form and email the completed form to admissions@uco.edu or deliver it to Broncho OneStop, NUC 124.
Institutional Scholarship Consideration
The combined admission application is for both admission & scholarship consideration. To be considered for scholarships, students must apply and ensure admission materials are received no later than the scholarship deadline. Students meeting the scholarship deadline will be considered for Academic Scholarships at Central.
Students must have 24 earned hours at the time of scholarship deadline to be considered for academic scholarships. A student seeking second bachelor degrees are not eligible for academic scholarships.
Scholarship Deadlines are:
- Fall and Summer Terms – June 1
- Spring Term – Nov. 1
*There is no deadline for admission consideration
