SchoolHouse Connection Youth Scholarship Program

Award Amount: $2,000 Scholarship Award ($1,000 for the 1st year and $1,000 for the 2nd year of college) 

The SHC Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program provides scholarships to youth who have experienced homelessness to ensure their completion of a post-secondary education program. The program assists youth with financial aid processes, mental health advocacy and referrals, professional legal advocacy and referrals, and assistance in locating and establishing local contacts for general support and services. Additional, the program builds a stable peer and adult support network for recipients, before, during, and after their college careers , and into their transition into the workforce. This offers young people meaningful opportunities to engage in advocacy, while providing sustained support services to help ensure graduation and success in life.

Annual Scholarship for The University of Central Oklahoma Students

Award amount: $3,000 for first place, $1,000 for second place, $500 for third place. Oklahoma Single Parent Scholarship Program

As a non-profit organization, Oklahoma Single Parent Scholarship Program funding is made possible through the generosity of individuals, private foundations, and corporate donors. Applicants who are selected as OSPSP scholars will be eligible to receive $1,000 for the semester. Funds may be used for tuition, textbooks, rent, mortgage, utilities, transportation, medical, groceries, diapers, childcare, and membership dues to professional organizations. In addition to the funds awarded, OSPSP scholars may be required to participate in workshops or mentoring activities as offered. Recipient must be the custodial parent of at least one child under the age of 18 living in a single-parent household without assistance of a “significant other” living in the home. The student must be a full-time student at a non-profit college or university located in Oklahoma or Cleveland County working toward a degree. Fulltime is defined as enrolled in 12 or more credit hours OR students enrolled in one of these programs may be eligible if enrolled in 9 or more hours: Nursing; Anesthesia Technology; Emergency Medical Science; Occupational Therapy Assistant; Physical Therapy Assistant; Respiratory Care Therapist; Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Students must have completed at least one semester, have a minimum 2.5 GPA in the most recent semester and cumulatively, and be eligible to receive federal Pell Grant.

180° Medical College Scholarship Program

Award Amount: Seven $1,000 College Scholarships 

180 Medical is honored to have a scholarship program to help those with spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, or ostomy (ileostomy, colostomy, or urostomy).

Realizing the financial burdens that exist for many of these families, we’ve developed the 180 Medical Scholarship Program to honor these young adults who pursue goals of higher education.

Students attending a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program full time in the fall are eligible to apply. Applicants must be under a physician’s care for a spinal cord injury, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, or ostomy (ileostomy, colostomy, or urostomy). Must be a legal resident in the United States.

Deadline: Application must be postmarked on or before June 1.
