Discover America Program At a Glance
Who qualifies:
High School Seniors, Current College Students and University Graduates
Language of Instruction:
English (UCO may conduct a brief interview to determine proficiency)
Credits:
Students may enroll for up to 9 credits (UCO classes range from 2-4 credits per subject)
Program Duration and Dates:
8 weeks or 16 weeks; August 17 – December 11, 2020
Discount and Cost:
UCO will provide a $200 tuition discount for every credit hour enrolled. That is almost a 30% discount!
Case 1: If you wish to enroll in 2-credit hour Applied Music Lesson for Violin, your estimated total cost is $1,100 after the $400 discount.
Case 2: For a 3-credit hour Introduction to Forensic Science course taught by Dr. Dwight Adams, your estimated cost is $1,650.

To Enroll in Undergraduate or Bachelor’s Level Courses
Eligibility Requirements:
- High school graduate by program start date;
- 2.0 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale;
- System requirements: internet connection (broadband wired or wireless, 3G or 4G/LTE), speakers or headphone with microphone, webcam;
- Supported operating systems: macOS X with macOS 10.7 or later, Windows 10 (Home, Pro, or Enterprise), Windows 8 or 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista with SP1 or later, Windows XP with SP3 or later;
- Supported tablet and mobile devices: Surface PRO 2 or higher running Win 8.1 or higher; iOS, Android, and Blackberry devices; and,
- If any coursework you plan to enroll requires pre-requisite, you will be asked to provide the course description for the course you have completed at your current college or university.
Application Requirements:
- Online Application;
- High School Transcript and Proof of Graduation OR current college transcript;
- Government Issued ID (passport, driver license or ID card); and,
- Oral English Interview may be required—include English test scores if you have them.
