Maegan was born and raised in Arkansas but has lived in Oklahoma since 2015. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Arkansas Tech University in 2013 and Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University in 2015. When she's not working,  she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and son. She enjoys working for a university that is so student-centered and progressive in meeting the needs of students and the community! 


Evan Blackburn ; 405- 974- 2974 ; NUC121V

Evan Blackburn has been working as a freshman advisor since October of 2017. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. While there, he worked in the student success, student engagement, and academic success departments. After graduation, he worked for non-profits in Midwest City, OK and Houston, TX. Taking the experiences he gained through these opportunities, he went back to higher education and has been engaging students ever since. He likes to take on new challenges which have included disc golf, running, breathing fire and photography.

Welcome Bronchos! Samm earned a B.S. in Special Education – Mild-Moderate Disabilities from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2013. Since graduating from UCO, Samm has been teaching in both Oklahoma and Texas. She is excited to return home to UCO to assist students with achieving their educational goals. Samm is passionate about helping college students work toward their goal of graduating and finding a career they are excited about pursuing.  She feels at home at UCO and hopes that all students feel the same way! Samm often spends her time outside of work outdoors being active with her family, friends and Australian Shepherd, Clay.

Raven Cross is a Freshman Academic Advisor at the University of Central Oklahoma. Raven was born in Tulsa, OK, but only lived in Tulsa for about three years before moving to Preston, Oklahoma. Preston remained her home for the next 15 years.  Raven graduated from Preston Public Schools and immediately enrolled at the University of Central Oklahoma to obtain her bachelor’s degree in psychology with the focus on marriage and family therapy. Raven anticipates also obtaining her Master’s Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. Raven started her professional career at UCO as a student worker in the First Year Experience and Student Success office along with what is now Campus Card Services in 2015. She spent two years assisting many different students and realized that her true passion was helping students.   Raven has found that there is no greater joy than seeing students overcome all challenges and succeed. Raven is excited to be a part of the UCO family and looks forward to assisting more students each and every day.

Rachel Glass Fairchild has advised freshmen at UCO since January 2016. Rachel is passionate about helping students navigate the many transitions they face in their first year of college. Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Pomona College in Claremont, California. Dedicated to improving education, Rachel taught fourth grade through Teach for America, created arts-in-education programs in New York and evaluated K-12 education leadership reform efforts at UCLA for 8 years. Rachel moved to Oklahoma in 2005 to be closer to her family. In 2014, after a 7-year stint in retail management, Rachel returned to work in higher education. She graduated from UCO in 2016 with her Master of Adult and Higher Education-Student Personnel. Rachel lives in Edmond with her son and daughter. Rachel loves dancing, watching Netflix with her kids, and spending time with friends. She hates to cook.

Katherine Ferrell earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree in Instrumental Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Katherine is excited to work with UCO students, having been a UCO student herself! Her main goal is to help you navigate through your academic journey. She aims to meet you where you are and help you plan your next steps forward. Outside of work, she enjoys playing video games, crocheting, and making music. Gina Kincade is an Academic Advisor for freshmen.  Gina was born in Oklahoma City and grew up in Ponca City.  She studied music business and marketing at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1997.  Gina worked in publicity at RCA Label Group in Nashville for two years before marrying a Navy pilot and beginning the nomadic life of a military spouse in 1999.  Over the next 14 years, Gina and her husband Matt along with their two sons, Brandon and Kyle, lived in Texas, California, Nevada, and Iowa before returning home to Oklahoma in 2013.  Gina was awarded a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in crisis and trauma from Walden University in November of 2015.  After working in the mental health field for a year, Gina turned her focus to higher education where she strives to help freshmen get their academic careers off to a strong start.  In her spare time, Gina loves spending time with family and friends, watching her son Brandon play electric bass in the School of Rock Edmond house band and attending her son Kyle’s gymnastics meets.

Hannah Miller Leftwich has been working as a Freshman Advisor at UCO since April of 2015. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Concordia University in Seward-Nebraska and moved to Oklahoma City in 2004. After serving as a youth director in Oklahoma City for 9 years, Hannah began working in higher education in 2013. In 2016, she graduated from UCO with her Masters’ of Adult and Higher Education-Student Personnel. Hannah lives in Edmond with her husband, Robbie, and two daughters, Hazel and Rosemary. Hannah enjoys reading, watching/quoting the TV show Friends, and cooking.



Gina Sigl ; 405-974-5076 ;

Nursing, Freshman PRE-Health Professions

Gina earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Oklahoma State University and majored in Family Relations and Child Development. After college, she was employed as a social worker.  She later earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Media Education from UCO and then began working as an adjunct instructor at UCO.  Gina has taught Success Central, Success Strategies, Healthy Life Skills, College Reading and Study Skills, and Technology for Teachers.  Before transferring to Academic Advisement, Gina worked in the Project Persist office as a Retention Specialist.

Gina is married and has two children and two cats. Her favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family – especially going for long walks, cooking, working in the yard, and traveling.
