What is the Community Closet?

The University of Central Oklahoma Community Closet, a program of The Center at UCO, provides all Central students with clothing and other needed items. The Community Closet is available for students to take advantage of in any time of need. The Community Closet is located in the Women's Research Center and BGLTQ+ Student Center, Thatcher Hall, Room 106.

The Community Closet is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday.

The closet provides the following items for free to all UCO students:

  • Professional clothing;
  • Casual clothing;
  • Shoes;
  • Purses;
  • Jewelry;
  • Binders;
  • Feminine care products;
  • Condoms and lube; and,
  • Pregnancy tests.

Donations

UCO's Community Closet relies solely on donations to provide items to students at no cost. Donations are accepted for any of the above-listed items; professional clothing is always in high demand.

Donations can be brought to the Community Closet during operating hours.
