2023 New Faculty Orientation and Teaching and Learning Institute
The 2-day long New Faculty Orientation and the Teaching and Learning Institute will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 8, from 8:00 – 5:00pm and Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 8:00 – 5:00pm in the Liberal Arts-South (LAS) Building, beginning in Room L03 (click here for campus maps).
This event will include an introduction and orientation to UCO, a Human Resources Orientation, an introduction to technologies at UCO, and exciting sessions on teaching and learning. Click here for a Detailed Agenda of this Event.

The Office of Academic Affairs, Human Resources, the Technology Resource Center (TRC), and the 21st Century Pedagogy Institute (21CPI) are deeply committed to helping new faculty become oriented to UCO's unique culture. They are also committed to helping new faculty continue their journeys to be ever more proficient teacher-scholars as they construct their career paths.
These gatherings are also designed to reduce the isolation that permeates teaching in higher education institutions, create positive professional relationships with other new and veteran faculty members from various departments, assist faculty members to become more effective teacher-scholars, and strengthen our efforts to forge significant transformative learning experiences for our students.
