Meet the Trainers

All Wellness Center personal trainers are certified through a nationally recognized agency and have many years of experience training clients with various fitness and health goals.

MARIA ROETTGER

Maria earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology.  She maintains three nationally accredited certifications from the American Council on Exercise: ACE- certified personal trainer, ACE-certified group fitness instructor, and ACE-certified health coach. She is uniquely qualified to help clients overcome barriers to achieving their goals. Maria enjoys helping clients achieve improved fitness and wellness while empowering them with the latest health and wellness research to help them attain success in fun, effective, and highly individualized sessions.  It is her passion to help others feel great from the inside out and lead healthier and happier lives through education, motivation and inspiration!

JOHNNY WATLEY

Johnny serves as the Fitness Coordinator for the Wellness Center. Johnny holds a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology, ACSM Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, ACSM Certified Health and Fitness Specialist, and AFAA certified Primary Group Fitness Instructor.  Johnny’s passion is to make exercise fun and assist clients with making exercise a part of daily life.  Johnny says “when we exercise for health, we gain the added benefit of feeling and looking better”.

BLAKE HAMILL

Blake serves as the Fitness Graduate Assistant for the UCO Wellness Center. Blake holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology – Exercise/Fitness Management and is currently working on his Master’s degree in Wellness Management at Central. He is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist, and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Blake’s passion is working with weight management, special populations, and athletes. His favorite quote is “Success is the Sum of Small Efforts, Repeated Day In & Day Out – R. Collier”

SHEA MCMULLIN

Shea is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Wellness Management-Exercise Science at Central. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Level 1 CrossFit Coach.  Shea focuses on functional movement training and high intensity interval training (HIIT).  Shea believes fitness is a lifestyle and enjoys helping the “regular” person achieve their personal fitness goals, whether that be weight loss, muscle gain, or having more energy.

BOBBY MOORE

Bobby is currently completing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Science at Central. He is an ACSM Certified Personal Fitness Trainer. Bobby believes that everyone is capable of achieving their personal fitness goals, and all it takes is the motivation to take the first step.
