Health promotion is the process of empowering individuals and communities to change their lifestyle and move toward a state of optimal health. The emphasis of health promotion goes beyond individual behavior and moves toward an ecological approach that focuses on the various factors that impact one's health.
At UCO, we recognize that health and learning are interconnected. Therefore, health promotion on campus exists to support students and create healthy environments that will foster the learning process.
