What is Blackboard Campus Edition 8? (WebCT)

     Campus Edition 8 (CE8) is a software suite that is hosted by the University for use in traditional, hybrid (blended) and fully online courses.

Using CE8 instructors are able to post online files, create online assessments, digital assignments and much more. The Office of Information Technology also supports PowerLinks to services such as Turnitin.com, CPS Clickers, and more that allow for easy implementation into the course environment.

I thought UCO used WebCT? Now we use Blackboard?

The WebCT brand was purchased by the Blackboard Company in late 2005. As part of the restructuring efforts, the WebCT brand name is being discontinued, and the WebCT CE 6 platform was re-branded Blackboard Campus Edition 8 (CE 8) to fit better with the current naming conventions in place.
