How to Form a Student Organization

Central has many organizations to offer, but if we don't offer one you'd like to see on campus, you can form your own.

If you have any questions, contact the Student Organizations Office at studentorgs@uco.edu or 974-2625.

In order to form a Student Organization, you need:

  1. At least five (5) enrolled students--two of them are officers and the other three are members.

  2. A UCO faculty or staff member to serve as an advisor.

  3. A current constitution and/or bylaws to upload on the website.  You can find a sample constitution here.

  4. Once you have all this information, click here to create your organization on OrgSync.

Once you have completed those steps, you will need to sign up for a training session for the organization president or vice-president and advisor. The sessions are offered at the following times:

Thursday, January 15—3:00 pm--NUC Room 201

Tuesday, January 27—10:00 am--NUC Room 201

Monday, February 9—4:00 pm--NUC Room 201

Friday, March 6—9:00 am--NUC Room 201

Tuesday, March 24--3:00 pm--NUC Room 201

After these steps are complete, your organization will be approved and considered active.

If you have any questions, contact the Student Organizations Office at studentorgs@uco.edu or 974-2625.
