National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Greek Council Membership Intake
The local National Pan-Hellenic Council is the governing body for the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) organizations on the University of Central Oklahoma Campus. NPHC is currently composed of three fraternities and three sororities.
The Multicultural Greek Council is the governing body for the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) and other organizations on campus. The MGC is currently composed of three organizations.
The recruitment process for NPHC and MGC organizations is very similar and referred to as the Membership Intake Process. It's important to note that the membership intake process takes place at various times for each individual organization within NPHC and MGC. Once you arrive on campus, watch for flyers promoting each organization's informational meeting, pay attention to social media outlets, or speak with a chapter member. Typically, the informational meeting is the beginning of the intake process where interested students are invited to learn more about a specific organization and its application process. It is generally acceptable for person to attend more than one organization's informational meeting. However, before attending an informational session, you may wish to research all of the fraternities or sororities so that you will know a great deal about the organizations and which ones interest you.
