FORGE Family is held August 12, 13 and 14th, at the same time incoming freshmen are attending Freshman FORGE. When you become a Broncho, so does the rest of your family! FORGE Family is a time for parents and family members to learn about the benefits UCO offers to their students. During the program, they learn different techniques to help their student transition into college while giving them the needed support from home.
Some past FORGE Family participants have said "Parents play a role in their children's education and UCO acknowledges and empowers that. Thank you for getting us involved!" and "Wonderful student presenters who are very friendly & easy to interact with!"
If you didn't sign your family member up to attend FORGE Family when you registered to attend Freshman FORGE, you can still sign them up. Just contact the Campus Activities Office at 405.974.2363 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we can sign them up.
Registration for both Freshman FORGE and FORGE Family will begin at 8:30am on the 3rd floor of the Nigh University Center, outside of the Ballrooms. Parking is free in the visitor lot and there will be plenty of volunteers to show you where to check in. Both programs start at 9am, and we will wrap up at 3:30pm. Lunch is part of FORGE, so don’t worry about that.
The day is jam packed, so you won’t have time to leave the program to take care of any last minute business such as parking decals or financial aid during the program. However, those offices all open at 8am and stay open until at least 5pm the entire week, so plenty of time to take care of things before classes start.
You don’t need to bring anything with you- we will have it all.
