Asian American Student Association

The Asian American Student Association (AASA) exists to highlight the various Asian cultures represented at Central. AASA seeks to increase awareness of our diverse language, culture, and history through hosting social events, educational programs, and cultural events as well as actively serving our community.  

The Asian-American Student Association at the University of Central Oklahoma wishes to provide various opportunities for student to get involved with multicultural programs. AASA wishes to promote the cultural diversity through signature activities that spread awareness of the rich Asian heritage, while educating and celebrate the campus of the traditions of Asian-Americans. We are an organization that is open to everyone and anyone interested in learning more about our culture. 

In addition to cultural events and community philanthropy, AASA offers studnents a several opportunities to expand on their leadership, academics, mentoring and a keen sense of belonging through initiatives that help develop cultural competency.

Throughout the year, AASA hosts cultural and community events, social events, and gatherings aimed to promote fellowship among not just Asian-Americans, but also all races and students. As an AASA member, your college life will be enriched with friendships and a sense of family on campus. It can truly become a "Home Away From Home," offering a "second family" to all members. 

Signature Events: Asian Moon Festival, Lunar New Year Celebration, Sushi Rolling Night, Asian Horror Stories.
