November 7th @ 6:00pm at the International House
A contemporary twist to a traditional Native American food called frybread. The frybread is the same but you can top with your choice of desserts including ice cream, chocolate, whipped cream, cookie pieces, sprinkles, etc. Come out, socialize, and make dessert frybread!

"The Struggle for Schools: Education in Indian Territory" – Brown Bag Event

ODI Film Series “The Empire of Dirt”

The film stars Cara Gee as Lena, a young single First Nations mother struggling to bridge the generation gap with her daughter Peeka and her mother Minerva.

Keynote Speaker: Donovin Sprague

Please join us in welcoming Donovin Sprague, a direct descendent of Touch the Clouds. Touch the Clouds was a chief of the Minneconjou Teton Lakota known for his bravery and skill in battle, physical strength and diplomacy in counsel. After his presentation, there will be an optional trip to the Touch the Clouds statue at the front of campus.

Native Fit Class
November 16th @ 6:30pm in the NUC Ballrooms
Instructor: Rojer Johnson
Native American populations are more likely to be overweight than any other minority groups. For this reason, we wanted to create a fit class to demonstrate home exercises that anyone can easily do with a native twist.

Dr. Palmer Film Night

Native American Hand Game Tournament
November 18th @ 6:00-10:00pm - NUC Ballrooms

A Hand Game is a Native American style game that's sole purpose is to bring together a large group of people through teamwork. This hand game tournament will be used to connect with the community and other native students in higher education, share ideas, and have a night full of fun.

Miss Native American UCO Reception 
November 21st @ 1:00pm - NUC Ballroom C
Join us as we celebrate Miss Native American UCO 2017. Miss Native American UCO not only represent the University of Central Oklahoma, but they are a liaison to the Native American community. Join us for great food and fellowship during this come and go reception of Miss Native American UCO.

True Meaning of Thanksgiving

This will be an event for all students, faculty, staff, and the community to learn more about the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

Dance Troup
November 30th @ 6:00pm in LAR Pegasus Theater
To wrap up Native American Heritage Month a Native American dance troop will come to the UCO campus for a night of cultural exposure to Native American dance styles. The purpose of this is to emphasize the unique dance styles of the Native American culture. There will be a reception to follow to ask questions, and meet the dancers. Please come out for a night of learning, and experience Native American dancing.
