The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) advances cultural competence while implementing opportunities for our diverse communities to learn, thrive and succeed. This mission is met by implementing unique programs and services that promote the pursuit of academic success and encourage retention, while promoting the leadership development of students. ODI initiatives serve to expand students’ cultural horizons and perspectives, honor respective cultural experiences and developing cultural competent citizens. Diversity Round Table

Diversity Round Table

DRT is the umbrella organization that oversees all of Central's premier multicultural organizations and establishes a cohesive union of multicultural student leaders, faculty, staff and the community to facilitate educational opportunities. Diversity Round Table exists to enhance cultural awareness, political awareness, social events, provide support for the students and aim to ADVOCATE, CELEBRATE and EDUCATE Central's community with these diversity initiatives.

The Black Student Association (BSA) are committed to the advancement of the black community while educating others of the diversity on Central's campus. Membership in the Black Student Association is available to all UCO students without regard to RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, NATIONAL ORIGIN, or SEXUAL ORIENTATION.

The Asian American Student Association (AASA) exists to highlight the various Asian cultures represented at Central. AASA seeks to increase awareness of our diverse language, culture, and history through hosting social events, educational programs, and cultural events as well as actively serving our community.

The Hispanic American Student Association (HASA) is a student led organization aimed at emphasizing the richness of Hispanic-American cultures and highlight the multiple Latin American countries as well as bolster the its members and their community.

Native American Student Association

Native American Student Association

The purpose of the Native American Student Association (NASA) is to unite and represent the Native American student body at the University of Central Oklahoma by building and strengthening awareness of Native American culture in Edmond, Oklahoma and promoting the diverse languages, cultures, and history of Native Americans through university and community service by hosting social, cultural, and educational events. NASA will encourage friendship, leadership, and cultural exchange among students and to other clubs and organizations.

Student Alliance for Equality

The Student Alliance for Equality (SAFE) is a registered student organization that provides support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, queer, and questioning students, faculty, staff members, alumni, and our allies at the University of Central Oklahoma, as well as for members of the surrounding communities.

The purpose of S.T.A.R.S. (Striving Toward Academic and Renowned Success) is to promote high scholarship; to develop an appreciation for scholarly work and the academic endeavors of others; to recognize leadership and service; and value the significance of multiculturalism.

AAUW at Central

AAUW at Central

The American Association of University Women at the University of Central Oklahoma is a student organization aimed to aid in the positive construction and preservation of all female students' personal and academic lives. Supported by the national chapter of AAUW, we strive to promote healthy environment for women concentrating on self-identity, self-esteem, and self-sufficiency. Secondly, focusing on Unity among all women. With the hopes of being better women of tomorrow. AAUW @ Central strives to help all women understand their role and responsibilities to society and to themselves.
