If you would like to see what Leadershape at UCO is all about, check out our promotional video!  Also, below the video, we have some frequently asked questions to provide more info.

Q:  How much is LeaderShape?

A:  LeaderShape is FREE for UCO students as long as the students attend after being accepted. There is a deposit schedule that will charge students bursar if they do not attend.

Q: Is LeaderShape at UCO?

A: No, LeaderShape will be held at Oakridge Christian Camp in Anadarako, OK.

Q: Why is it called The Institute now?

A: LeaderShape has decided to call the umbrella of their programs/organization "LeaderShape" and what was formerly the LeaderShape Insitute is now just "The Institute". It's the same program- just a new name and logo!

Q:  I am taking a summer class...can I still do LeaderShape?

A:  LeaderShape is the last week of July, the 25-30th. If you are taking a class that requires you to be in the classroom, then no, you wouldn't be able to do LeaderShape. If you are taking an online class that has flexibility in when you do your work, you could attend LeaderShape because there is down time where you could do classwork.

Q:  Are we gone the entire week?  Can I come back for a meeting or work?

A:  Yes, you are at the location the entire week and cannot leave for any reason. We will bus everyone there on Monday morning and bring you back to campus Saturday afternoon.

Q:  How many students go to LeaderShape?

A:  LeaderShape is set up for 60 students.

Q:  I have done SO many leadership things at UCO- how is this any different?

A:  Great question! It is different in a myriad of ways. First, it is a NATIONAL institute- this means the LeaderShape at Georgia State is the same at MIT is the same at UCO. The curriculum is very specific, purposeful and effective. Second, the program has two lead facilitators not from UCO and these folks are professionals from colleges, non-profits, businesses and corporations. They apply and are selected and trained by LeaderShape. Third, we are looking for a super diverse group of students to attend, so you won't be in a room with the same people you see all the time. We are looking for commuters, non-traditional students, traditional students, athletes, international students, Greek students, etc. LeaderShape IS DIFFERENT.

Q:  Is this really worth a week of my time?

A:   Yes. Without a doubt. :) Ask any of our 106 current graduates of the program.
