The Distinguished Service Graduate Award is an honor reserved for graduates from UCO who have given a significant portion of his or her college career to Service Learning Projects and/or Volunteer activities. This is an honor meant to acknowledge a high level of achievement in Service Learning, and a dedication to the UCO and Oklahoma communities at large.
The VSLC has determined that any student who has dedicated at least 384 hours to Service Learning during a four year college career qualify for this distinction.
In order to also acknowledge transfer and non-traditional students, the VSLC has developed a method of prorating the amount of hours required to receive the Distinguished Service Graduate Award based on the number of years one has been attending UCO. The prorated years and corresponding hours are as follows:
3 years: 288 hours
2 years: 192 hours
1 year: 96 hours
Those who qualify for this award will be given a medal to wear during the graduation ceremony at the end of both the Fall and Spring semesters. If you qualify for this award, please begin the awards process by logging your service hours here.
If you are a graduating senior, and would like to be considered for this award, please fill out this form.
