Volunteer and Service Learning Center
The Volunteer and Service Learning Center at UCO provides diverse opportunities for students to perform meaningful service in the Edmond and Oklahoma City communities. The Center acts as a partner and resource for students, faculty and community members in developing and implementing volunteer and service learning projects. These efforts promote civic engagement by instilling a commitment to public life through communities of practice.

The Red Cross is no longer seeking or training volunteers today. Other training opportunities will be posted here as they become available.
The Salvation Army Canteen is located at Home Depot, 650 SW 19th Street, Moore, OK, 73160. They need crews of 4-5 per meal. Lunch shift starts at 10 a.m. and Dinner starts at 3:00 p.m. They need volunteers for both meals and snack times in between for the next two weeks. Blood Donation Center
Oklahoma Blood Institute:
Donors to the Oklahoma Blood Institute provide every drop of blood needed by patients in all metro-Oklahoma City hospitals and 140 others across the state.
Presently, OBI is seeking donors with the blood type O-Positive
Since there is no substitute for blood, the supply constantly needs to be replenished. Anyone 16 years or older and in good health
can generally donate blood. Those with O-negative and Rh-negative blood types are most needed.
Locations of donor centers and mobile blood drives can be found at www.obi.org.

Sonya Martinez owns a 125,000 sq ft building at 4300 North MacArthur in Oklahoma City, and is offering services to anyone in need of shelter, food or prayer regarding this tornado.

The Warren Theater in Moore has been set up as a triage center for anyone who need to be treated for their injuries.

Benchmark Animal Hospital says any animals that have been affected by the tornado and need shelter or medical attention can call their hospital or drop off the animal for their staff to evaluate and treat them. They have a huge facility and can accommodate a significant amount of animals. They can be reached at (405)-547-8381.
Volunteers with the Central Oklahoma Humane Society are assisting with the transportation of injured animals. They are taking in as many displaced animals as they can, but their facilities are filling up fast. They need financial support to assist their efforts. You can make a donation online and designate it to their Disaster Relief Fund. Call their office at (405)-607-8991 to donate over the phone.
Edmond Animal Welfare (dogs, cats, small animals - limited space)
The Pet Owners Resource Center is posting information on their Facebook page about helping animals affected by the storm.
Tracy and Holly Porter told News 9 they have 60 acres with barns and pipe fencing just north of Seminole. Anyone needs somewhere to keep their cows and horses, call the Porters at (405)-777-6570 or (405)-921-0204.
A triage area for lost and injured pets have been set up at the Moore Home Depot.
